Two men, including one armed with a pick axe, have been spotted roaming around an outback town in their birthday suits.

The first naked man, who has long hair, was reportedly screaming and cursing as he walked around Nightcliff, Darwin, with bloodied hands at about 1.30pm on Monday.

Terrifying video footage showed the moment the disrobed man handed over an axe to another member of the community.

Witness Keith Gregory, who disarmed the bare individual, said ‘he really wasn’t threatening anyone’.

‘He had blood all over his hands, he said ”here it is”, I took it off him,’ Mr Gregory told NT News.

‘He was frustrated, somebody had done the wrong thing by him. (He) didn’t present any danger.’

Police arrived at about 1.45pm and took the man back to his unit.

Another onlooker filmed the man walking through the streets as he travelled along in a car.

‘Didn’t seem to be aggressive apart from being naked and brandishing a bloody pick axe. He was smiling when I saw him,’ the witness told Facebook news page The Mango Inquirer.

The Mango Inquirer then shared video footage of a second naked man running past a school in Palmerston on the same day.

The two incidents appeared about 20 kilometres apart from each other.

‘I thought he was in an accident of some sort,’ the witness told The Mango Inquirer.

The man ran towards bushland behind the school.

‘He had a plain face and kept his cool like it was normal,’ the witness said.
