Barstool Sports CEO Erika Nardini has left her banker husband Brett for her married squash coach, according to reports.
The businesswoman is said to have met pro player Yvain ‘Swiss’ Badanat at her Connecticut members club last summer, according to Page Six.
She was first seen seen kissing a man that was not her husband back in April, the paper reports. A source at the time said she ‘seemed real excited’.
The alleged affair marks the latest scandal to hit popular blog Barstool after a sex tape featuring its founder Dave Portnoy leaked earlier this month.
In that video, a naked Portnoy, 44, is seen sitting atop aspiring model Sydney Raines as she wears a black leather dog collar around her neck. The Bartstool Sports star is then seen yanking the collar with a metal chain.
Erika is said to have first met Yvain at New Canaan Country Club in Connecticut last summer. His wife Cynthia reportedly grew suspicious when the world-ranked squash professional began arriving home in the early hours.
After reportedly finding messages between the pair in which they discussed having children and getting a dog Cynthia filed for divorce in March.
Erika and Brett – who have two young sons – have also split, Page Six reports.
Barstool Sports CEO Erika Nardini, left, is allegedly having an affair with her married squash coach after the pair met at her pricey Connecticut members only club. The businesswoman is said to have left her banker husband Brett to be with Yvain ‘Swiss’ Badan, right, according to Page Six
Nardini took over as CEO of Barstool Sports – one of the most popular sports blogs in the country – after joining the company in 2016.
She had previously worked for companies like AOL (where she was chief marketing officer), Yahoo and Microsoft.
Yvain is said to have been fired from the country club.
DailyMail.com has reached out to the club, Badan and to Barstool in an effort to reach Nardini for comment.
Cynthia and Yvain were married in 2012 and have four sons aged between 17 and 26.
They have been described as ‘the local golden couple’ and were said to have been planning their retirement before the split. A source said: ‘They were madly in love.’
The woman who appeared in a leaked sex tape with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy has revealed herself as aspiring model Sydney Raines
The scandal comes on the back of a leaked sex tape featuring the blog’s founder.
The woman who appeared in the video with Portnoy took to social media earlier this month to share a statement confirming her identity, several days after the X-rated footage went viral.
In the video, a naked Portnoy, 44, is seen sitting atop Raines as she wears a black leather dog collar around her neck. The Bartstool Sports star is then seen yanking the collar with a metal chain.
‘Sydney Raines here! Your one and only true insider into the ‘scandal,’ the model began her Instagram statement.
‘Some might not approve of the video content but it was entirely consensual and it’s unfortunate that it is no longer private’.
Raines added that she and Portnoy are ‘still friends’, and that there is no animosity between them.
‘I won’t label this a mistake since we have both taken responsibility for it… But the fact that it was leaked and posted without our awareness or consent would be considered the true mistake.’
It’s unclear how the tape surfaced, but it has quickly been scrubbed from social media. Neither Raines or Portnoy have disclosed when the raunchy video was made.
Raines is an aspiring Instagram model. She says that she and Portnoy are still ‘friends’
Hours after releasing her statement, Raines shared a photo of herself topless and smiling as she held two postcards over her breasts
‘As I come forward about this, I want you all to acknowledge that this is me accepting the situation while I continue my daily life without vexation. With no apologies, Syd.’
Hours later, she shared a photo of herself topless and smiling as she held two postcards over her breasts.
Portnoy was similarly unapologetic about the sex tape despite suggestions could have caused a dip in the value of Penn National Gaming shares – a company which recently bought a share of Barstool Sports.
‘A stock is down because somebody has consensual sex? Are you f***ing kidding me?’ Portnoy stated in a Twitter video.
‘I f**k. Who cares?’ he captioned the clip.
Portnoy, who according to his Twitter bio owns a ‘ton of Penn Stock’, is worth an estimated $120m.
He told Fox Business on Tuesday that the correlation in stock movement after the leaking of the sex tape just seems ‘dumb.’
‘Somebody committing a crime by leaking an old video of sex between two consenting adults seems like a dumb reason for a stock to go down,’ he said.
‘As far as I know, nobody would exist on Earth without intercourse. And anybody who shared or watched it committed a federal crime. It was never meant for public consumption.’
Portnoy, 44, married ex-wife Renee Satherthwaite, 33, in 2009; the pair announced their split in 2017
Portnoy has previously appeared in two leaked sex tapes.
He alluded to the fact he’d been caught up in previous sex tape controversies during a Twitter rant on Tuesday.
‘Penn stock is down because there’s a f***ing sex tape of me? Hey, news flash: It’s the third f***ing one,’ he said.
‘What are you gonna f***ing do? It’s the internet. So I have sex. People f***ing know that.’
The Barstool Sports founder was previously married to Renee Satherwaite, but they split in January 2017 after eight years of marriage.
Announcing the marriage breakup, he revealed he was dating fitness instructor Jordyn Hamilton.
Since starting Barstool Sports in 2003, Portnoy has grown the media company into a multimillion-dollar enterprise.
In January of 2020, the company was valued at $450 million, with Penn National Gaming buying a 36 per cent stake for $163 million.
