Australia’s oldest identical twins turned 102 in fine style on Thursday.

The sisters, Concie Marshall and Leila Moag, turned 102 this week at a small family gathering at an aged care home in Berry on the New South Wales south coast this week.

Wearing matching floral shirts and spectacles the centenarians celebrated with matching scones and cups of tea, and sung with fellow residents in front of a huge pink birthday cake and a bouquet of purple flowers.

It was a welcome relief for the sisters to celebrate together after their family were forced to watch and wave from a distance in the carpark last year, due to Covid restrictions at the home.

They were born in Berry in 1919 and still live there today in a local aged care home.

They told 7News the secret to their longevity was drinking water and not white wine or whisky.

They also pretended to not know how old they were, joking that they were ‘either 82 or 84’ this year.

The twins’ father is believed to have lived to 104.

They are believed to have never lived more than a few hundred metres apart throughout their entire lives.
